It's been a little while since I've checked in here at Pasture Chronicles. The past few months have been a full and tender season for my family, and I've had a slower pace for writing. Of course, life moves forward, and I wanted to share a few updates and some good moments that have happened along the way.
A while back, I had the chance to spend an evening at the rodeo, and it turned into one of those moments that reminds you why stories matter. I got to see this particular rodeo through the eyes of a couple of kids. Waylon rode with such determination, while his sister Marlie cheered with her whole heart. Afterwards, I had the privilege of signing their copy of The Legend of Maggie & Lance.

The little world of the pasture has grown. What started with The Legend of Maggie and Lance has now grown into three books, including The Legend of Maggie & Lance Coloring and Activity Workbook and The Adventures of Aspen and Luna, the newest story inspired by a herding dog who cares for her family.
I also had the joy of doing a Meet the Author event in my hometown of Appleton City, MO. The kindness and encouragement from that community meant the world to me. They welcomed the stories with such warmth that I left feeling incredibly grateful-and maybe a little spoiled.
I'm also excited to share that I'll be doing a Meet the Author event at The Library Center, in Springfield, MO, on March 28, from 11 am to 1 pm. It will be a chance to meet readers and share the stories behind the books. You can check them out here

And now it's almost Spring in the pasture. March weather can be wild here, with sunshine one minute and cold blowing snow, the next. Angus cattle's roots go back to the Scottish Highlands, and these mamas are built to stand the wild weather and winds.
We were fortunate to ride up on this brand-new baby, the other day. Its mama was already hard at work cleaning it up and very soon it was on those wobbly legs, taking its first steps and drinking its first meal. It was a quiet, simple, beautiful moment filled with the miracle of new life. Spring has a way of reminding us that life keeps moving forward with new stories, new beginnings and new calves finding their feet in the pasture.
Thank you for being here and following along with stories from this little corner of the world. I'm grateful for every reader, and I canāt wait to meet more readers and families who have found a little piece of home in these pages.š
